Honey Garlic Chicken
Ingredients:
- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
To make Honey Garlic Chicken, start by preheating your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Then, in a small bowl, mix together the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. This will be the marinade for the chicken.
Next, place the chicken breasts in a shallow baking dish and pour the marinade over them, making sure to coat each piece evenly. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours.
Once marinated, remove the chicken from the fridge and let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes. This will help the chicken cook more evenly. Then, place the chicken in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
While the chicken is baking, you can baste it with the marinade a few times to keep it moist and add more flavor. Once the chicken is fully cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
